THE BACHELOR VII 04/12/05
By Wendy Thompson
Q. Both you and I agreed last week Kara was going to go soon, any comments regarding her?
A. Kara appeared to be a really nice individual who matured fairly quickly after having a baby in her teens. She also seems to have coped with the situation well and seems to be pretty levelheaded.
Personally, I believe our boy did well sending her home. Kara deserves to find someone special who will not only complement her needs and aspirations, but also be a good father to her child. It is my personal opinion Charlie is not capable of offering her neither one of those things at this stage of his life.
Does anyone else think she is a brunette version of Gwen from B-2? Cute dimples and all!
Q. All right! Let's talk about Kimberly.
A. Kimberly's dress code is interesting, if you really take notice. I compare it with a mathematical equation: the amount of cloth covering her cleavage is directly proportional to whatever amount she assigned to her skirt. In other words; she may be convinced to raise her cleavage, but her miniskirt will automatically shrink due to the effort, and vise-versa. Not much to say about Kimberly, actually there is not much to Kimberly, in my opinion.
Q. Sarah W.?
A. She is the type of woman to catch our boy's attention. I just do not know if she is actually impressed with Charlie at all. I do not see any sparks between her and our boy that would make me believe both share any type of spiritual bond. Sarah has done a small transformation from the first episode to now, perhaps due to some creative editing. Right now she is in the worst of all positions, undefined. She used to be likeable, now Sarah W. has become questionable.
Q. Krisily.
A. She will probably stay for a while just to spice up the show. I personally believe Charlie does not find her physically attractive at all, nor could he endure her vulgar & gossipy personality for too long in the outside world. Krisily reminds me of the typical meddling, opinionated, and vulgar mother-in-law no one wishes to get. I find it humorous she does not even have a child yet and I already feel sorry for her future son or daughter in-law.
Q. What about Sarah B.?
A. She and Charlie may be hiding something, but I cannot envision her finding Charlie's personality attractive. Sarah appears to be a nice person, and pretty to boot! I fail to see what she finds in Charlie, perhaps nothing at all. She appears to be stuck with this Bachelor and is making the best of it. We'll see what happens to her next week...
Q. Boy, I see you're really excited about this series!
A. I actually believe it is too late for ABC to revive the show, and ratings, to what it used to be. Granted, for obvious reasons, they were never going to recuperate the ratings enjoyed with Aaron and Trista, but they could have listened to the viewers a little more and thus squeeze another year out of the series. Not with this flop! Charlie belongs in Elimidate, and this group of bachelorettes is the worse, and most boring, I have seen in all previous shows!
My group of “volunteers’ are currently suffering from a mild case of depression thinking they will soon be “unemployed”. Even our strong-willed “proof writer” is suffering from denial……………
Q. Talk to me about Charlie.
A. It is my opinion he is a party animal who not only enjoys the night life, but prefer the company of uncomplicated flirty women instead of mature and interesting ones. This does not mean Charlie is a bad person, or a self-centered opportunist, like Bob. Our boy probably agreed to be in this series for a much needed self-promotion injection.
I do not know our boy personally, but have met many “Charlies” in my life. They tend to be socially likeable, fun to be with, honest, thoughtful, and one of those people hard to get angry with. They enjoy life to the fullest, being called “free spirits”, by some, in lieu of something with a little more punch. Most “Charlies” study something that ends up being practically useless for actually maintaining themselves, a family, and kids. They avoid all type of responsibilities unless he, or she, meets one of those individuals with “social worker personalities” who erroneously try to shape them into something they will never be.
Some readers are probably asking themselves if I realize our boy is “an actor”, and actors make a lot of money, therefore Charlie can’t be that bad off financially. ABC has the habit of “inflating” bachelors and bachelorettes resumes with attributes lacking detail, as to make them more “attractive”. Anyone who does a little researching will notice our charmer has only been involved in short supporting roles, here and there. Not only that, but how much does anyone think our party boy has actually SAVED, even if he lives at the bottom of his brother’s two-story condo in L.A. and “spends much of his time at his family's home in Montauk” as the ABC bio states.
It is not how much money a person makes that determines what type of individual he or she is, it is in the manner of how they live that makes all the difference, and Charlie exhudes irresponsibility and simplemindedness, even if, at the end, he is what people call “a really nice guy”.
Charlie is more careful than most other Bachelors, and avoids hurting the bachelorettes’ feelings as much as possible, but I do not see this Bachelor becoming romantically involved with any of the remainder bachelorettes. This does not mean he is going to do "a Jen", our boy may surprise some in the end.
Q. What do you mean?
A. I have a personal theory brewing inside my "little gray cells", but it is
too soon for me to divulge it. Give me a couple of more weeks to see if there is any substance to my belief. My theory may be a little too controversial!
