The Bachelor 4

Q. Give me your opinion about the women sent home yesterday.
A. I was not surprised, even though I do have an opinion to make in reference to one of them.. I felt Karin believed she was out of place from the beginning, and never felt comfortable being on the show. Karin probably thought she was going to have a really good time, but constantly appeared bored whenever she was seen with the rest of the women. In my opinion she is very mature and knows what she wants out of life. I somehow got the feeling she thought all the crying and fighting, among the women, was ridiculous and immature.
It puzzles me why Bob kept her all these weeks when he actually gave her very little one on one time, and did not seem too interested in getting to know her better. She left the show being as much of a stranger to most viewers as to Bob. I honestly wish this young lady the best.
As for Misty, Antoinette, and Jenny, I never saw sparks in their interaction with Bob, no matter what he may have said to the cameras.
Q. Don’t you think some of the women staying are a little too emotional?
A. I am having a difficult time trying to figure out why some of these women ever filled out an application to be on the Bachelor.
This is the fourth series, and I would have imagined everyone involved knew they had to share the main character with the rest of the contestants, since that is the premise of the show.
Why some would still have temper tantrums, at the thought, is a mystery to me. One thing I will say, the Reunion Special is going to be interesting.
Q. Talk to me about Bob.
A. Bob is behaving like a total stranger. Gone is his sense of humor and wit, perhaps because he is trying too hard to show he can also be a romantic lead. In my opinion, he is not achieving the perfect balance between the two.
At this point, I believe he has not developed any deep feelings for any of the women, even though he does feel attracted to some more than others. That should not be confused with “falling in love”.
From what I have observed, I sense he is not the one initiating serious conversations. As in past Bachelor shows, the women are the ones going out on a limb telling the Bachelor how they feel. In Bob’s case, as was with Aaron, he is just playing it safe, and reacting according to what they are saying. Listening to women telling you how they feel about you may be good for the ego, but I believe it is unfair to the women.
Q. Let’s get down to business. Which ones do you believe are the front runners?
A. Meredith and Estella appear to still be the front runners, followed closely by Mary and Brooke. I always wonder what might be going on between Bob and these last two women, since he is not seen interacting very much with either one and still offers them a rose every week. I would love to see some of the footage left behind by the editors, since there may be more to Mary and Brooke than meet the eye.
Q. What about Kelly?
A. It is evident Kelly is a fun person to be with, and Bob does not want to send her home just yet, but soon Bob will only be able to keep the ones he is seriously considering. I personally believe she is the one best suited for Bob, at this stage of his life, but doubt he will keep her to the end.
Q. We finally get to Lee Anne. Is she acting?
A. Good question, but I honestly do not know the answer. Lee Anne went from giving a speech about not being aggressive enough and needing help to keeping the show entertaining with her antics. Although, I do believe the producers are having a field day editing the dramatic parts in Lee Ann’s conversations, to enhance her negativity; I also feel she does have an unpleasant side when the situation is not to her liking.
By keeping her around, Bob is assuring more drama in the near future. I honestly do not believe she will be the last one standing.
Q. We’ve had numerous e-mails asking if you will comment on the new Joe Millionaire 2 beginning next Monday. Well?
A. I knew you were going to mention this show today! I am honestly interested in seeing how a group of women from different countries, and backgrounds, behave in this type of show. I am looking forward to watching the series!
