THE BACHELOR VI 09/30/04
Q. Any surprises in tonight's lineup of women going home?
A. I particularly felt bad seeing Ashley go home. She appears to have a really nice personality, plus also being very pretty, in my opinion. It was evident to me, from the first episode, that she was not Byron's type.
Q. What about the ones staying?
A. I cannot help but wonder if ABC manipulates some of the contestants staying only for dramatic effects. I am certain the main character still has his or her choice of which ones will compose the "preferred group", but no one is going to tell me Byron feels any type of attraction towards Krysta, beyond perhaps a physical one. Trust me, folks, the chemistry is just not there. Then, why does he keep on offering her a rose? Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Q. Which ones do you feel have no chance of going all the way?
A. I still need to see Byron interacting a little more with some of them, in order to be a little more certain, but I would say Elizabeth, Susie and Cindy are most likely going home before the home visits. Krysta is there in order to have someone creating all the weekly controversies, keeping the show interesting. I just hope the producers do not keep her there until the end; it would be too easy predicting whom Byron is going to choose if Krysta is one of the two remaining women, since I could almost guarantee she is not going to be Byron's final choice.
Q. Which ones compose Byron's "elite group", in your opinion?
A. It is a little too soon to tell, since we have not been exposed to too many one on one dates, but I feel Byron and Cheresse shared some special moments during their one on one date. She definitely has the body-type Byron seems to be attracted to, plus having what I will call "a pleasantly mellow personality", something I believe Byron treasures. I also envision Byron interacting well with Tanya and Amanda, but it is too soon to tell which one may go all the way. At the present time I am only guessing.
Q. Is that all? What about Jayne, Andrea and Kristie?
A. I know she is probably one of the favorites, but I just do not see Byron
developing long-term romantic feelings towards Jayne, even though they would probably share a nice short-term relationship. I may be wrong, and may change my mind as the weeks go by, but I just feel Jayne is not the type of woman Byron could fall blindly in love with.
He may not show it much, but Andrea has the lean athletic body-type Byron feels attracted to. Just turn the volume off and watch his eyes and face expressions whenever he is with her; I can almost feel the sparks inside his head! Andrea may go far if she is able to control her insecurities and keep the drama to a minimum. She definitely has Byron's attention, or why do you think he offered her a rose, even though he has not spent too much one on one time with her yet? Nevertheless, I still do not know if she will go all the way.
Kristie is a big question mark at the moment; I will have to see how she and Byron interact next week before I have a clearer picture of her long-term possibilities.
Q. This week, you saw more shots and clues of the two mystery bachelorettes; give me only two names from the four you predicted last week.
A. I love when you put me in a spot! I am only guessing, but by carefully observing and listening to certain comments made in a couple of scenes shown in next week's tease, I will narrow my choices down to Heather from Texas and Mary. Furthermore, I will say Heather will probably not stay long and Mary will definitely outlast her in the show.
Q. Wow, what a surprise! I did not really think you would give me just two names.
A. Sometimes I also enjoy shocking you! LOL
