April School News

Basketball
Not much to write in this section this time. In fact, I'm just summing up the season. The boys basketball team finished 7th place in their division while the girls team got to go on to the Cities. At the first round they met up with Edmonton Christian North, who they had won against in the Eastglen tournament with a score of 28-26. The girls were dissappointed with a 53-50 loss within the last minute of the game. Great season to both of our teams and congrats.

Badminton
Badminton season has also come to a close. Ciara Gibney and Steve Hancock were the only team from Allendale to go to cities. We'll post the results later. Badminton intermurals also came to a close a couple weeks ago. To check out the results go to the bulletin board outside Mr. A's room.
Badminton
Rugby is back underway as of monday. The snow has melted so the team is back on the fields! In the exhibition game against D.S. Mackenzie, Allendale lost 2-1 and then tied the next game 1-1. Great effort shown by all team members and way to put up with the cold weather!

Leadership

Not to much is happening in Leadership i'm afraid. There is a popsicle sale at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. Each popsicle costs one dollar.

Ms. Salters drama and L.A. classes will be holding an Elizabethan fare on May 18. There will be a variety of baked goods for sale as well as a full shakespearian concert featuring students from different grades. Come out and join in the festivities!
