Petey Boy was his name. He was a friendly bird and was often out of his cage. Lovey was his mate.

We found this hawk hurt in our yard. We put it in our cage inside with water and called the game commission to pick up the hawk.

As you can see, we did have many cats on the farm. Mostly strays that came to us during the winter. We put a swinging cat door in the window and before long we had many more. All these female cats had litters and at one time there were five drawers inside the house with at least three kittens in each drawer. When the kittens got old enough we then placed them in a local pet shop. We were lucky to find great homes for each and every one.

We had many Pea cats one of which is still alive today. She is 11 years old. The kitten on top of his mom we call Muffin Man. Muffin and his mom Baby are also with us today at about the same age as Pea.

This is our shelter dog Ginger. We have had her for 6 years. I do believe she came from this town as some children stopped me when we were taking a walk and called her Ginger. One time on a walk, we stopped at the senior citizens building and she went crazy when she saw a man sitting inside. I think she will always try to find her original home.

Spooks was also an orphan. She was a beautiful dog and we enjoyed her very much.

Sassy was purchased by me to raise and breed with our male LaddieBoy.

This is Sassy at breeding age

Laddie was purchased at the age of 6 months. He is 13 years old now and even though he has serious health problems making it necessary to keep him in diapers, he is not in pain and still does everything just a little slower.

The pups were born in the middle of the night under my bed. I had a playpen all set up in my bedroom. The mother Sassy was so good about handling the pups right from the beginning. I placed them in the playpen with the side down and Sassy got right in and never tried to move the pups. I really enjoyed having them so close and contained so well.

The pups are about 1 week old in this picture.

The pups are 1 month old in this picture.

Below is LaddieBoy in his diaper. Ginger and the latest arrival is BearBoy owned by my teenage grandaughter.

This fawn was found on our farm. We brought it home until it was big enough to return to the farm. Many times this happened because so many deer were killed on the roads.

These emus were raised on the farm by us. We started with two babys and then hatched their eggs. We had a total of 20 emus at one time.
