The McNally's in question originated in the townlands of Loughill, Loughnalonga and later Drumacrutten, Monaghan, Co Monaghan, Ireland. The Gaelic translation for such McNallys (of South East Ulster) is generally taken to be Mac Con Ulad. More details inside.
