Ancient Mesopotamia
The

city that the Hebrews would have passed through during the Babylonian
Captivity.
Early Mesopotamia
is a jumble of archaeological ruins. The world Mesopotamia means
"The Land Between the Rivers" in the Greek language. This
is the first civilization to develop in the world according to most historians.
Great figures appear in this period of history from the realistic to the
fictional. This area of history is typically neglected in the traditional
history classroom, yet is one of the most fundamental eras of human achievement.
This is the first area to develop agriculture, domesticate animals and
to organize the building of massive buildings called ziggurats.
