A dark winter's morning
Gave light to his face,

Jet's constant smile
Wore God's Heavenly grace.

One of life's blessings
For Mary his mother,
For Joseph, For Jacob
For Jordan and others.

Nary a tear from a child so dear
For so rarely he cried this can't be denied.

A decade's since passed,
Ten years after at last.

In the arms of Our Lady
You have perfect happiness.

Sweet is the memory of your time with us,
Your blue eyes we cherished, your curls we brushed.

Jet, your Molly gives joy to us one and all,
She beams her great smile as if to call:

Hey Mommy! Hey Daddy! Hey big brothers all!
My name is Miss Molly, I'm your precious doll.

My brother baby Jet spreads his love to us yet,
And though he is gone his life shall live on.

For us to enter Gods' Heavenly Gate
We must become like a child before it's too late,

For Jet you are there it is heaven you share,
Through your presence we were blessed, by far you're the best.

When God calls little children to dwell with him above.
We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child,
who does so much to make our world wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold.
So he picks a rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them and so He takes but few.
To make the land of heaven mote to view.

Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try.
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Good bye."

So when a little child departs we who are left behind,
must realize God loves children...

My darling Kristopher came into our lives 4 weeks early and was so strong, healthy, and beautiful. We are happy to have had him in our lives for the short time we did. It was a blessing to have that time. Kristopher Dylan Reed was born 12-21-03 and left us 2-5-04. He was much loved and still is.

Hi Mom, Dad, Josh, Terhyn, Tyler, Grandmas Ann & Carol

I wanted you all to know that I'm ok here. Please do not cry because you know what? It's really cool here! They have merry-go-rounds, frogs, and lots of stuffed animals (Yes, Dad, all in K-State purple)! And all the angels are so neat here. I met Grandma Lewis and all our other family up here and guess what, Mom, they are spoiling me too! Grandma Lewis likes to hold me lots and you know I like that.

I saw you all crying for me yesterday and I was so sad for you because you hurt. SO, I wanted to let you all know I’m ok. I was only with you a little while, but I had a great time. I was so proud of Dad being a fireman. The minute I saw that big red truck, I knew I wanted to be one too!

Oh, and Josh, big brother, YOU ROCK! You are really a cool brother. I’m going to miss those fishing trips and computer games that I know you would have showed me. We will still do it - just in heaven! Terhyn and Tyler - you girls always made me laugh. I liked those funny faces you made. They were cool! Josh, Terhyn, and Tyler- will you take care of Mom and Dad, they need lots of love 'cause they miss me a lot! I'm so glad you guys are still there so they won't be so lonely.

And Mom, I'm going to miss you the most of all. You were a great Mom! You watched me so close so that I didn't get hurt. You held me so wonderful. I really loved it. I don't want you and Liz to feel guilty about my death. I found out when I got here it was all part of God's plan. It's ok. It's ok.

Grandma Ann and Grandma Carol, it was so much fun to be at your house ‘cause all you wanted to do was hold me and cuddle me and show me off. I liked that. I will miss you both and thanks for helping Mom and Dad through this sad time. To all my aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles and cousins, I'll miss you all. Isn't that a cool button Aunt Kimmie and Angie made? I am really that happy- and I can hardly wait to see you all.

Don’t worry - any of you – ‘cause I met God, Mary, and Joseph and they are awesome and they will take care of me. Whenever you're sad or need help, I'll be sitting there right beside you and now I have connections up here - so I can help you. Continue to be cool family and love each other and I’ll see you all as you pass this way. Can't wait to show you my frogs, snails and puppy dog tails.
