Work is starting on BIOHAZARD: THE NEXT PROJECT, AKA ResEvil 3. I heard that there would be three playable characters, each with their own disk, namely Chris, Jill and Barry. Leon and Claire will also be available as hidden characters! The setting for each game seems to be a different location, so you have to play them all to get the full story. Now, this could all be just a rumor. Anything could happen during development, but wouldn't it be great if all this was true?
Capcom have allegedly announced that the fourth installment of the Resident Evil series will appear on the Dreamcast. There was no mention of the Playstation 2, but I doubt very much that Capcom would forsake Sony after the success of ResEvil 1 and 2. Whether RE4 will continue the same story or will be something entirely new is anyone's guess; even Capcom doesn't know yet.
Okay, I've got a lot of news and gossip for you, but first I have a plea. Does anyone out there have cast pictures of Jill, Richard or Enrico? The ones I need are the colored full body pictures like the ones in the Bios. If you have any of them then PLEASE E-mail them to me. I'd really appreciate it. The good news is that Capcom plan to release a sequel to Resident evil, the imaginatively titled 'Resident Evil 2.
As you can see the action is far more hectic than it's predecessor. Many more zombies are now included on the same screen, making the player think and shoot faster. Capcom have claimed that the game is actually a massive one and a half times bigger than Resident evil.
As in Resident evil, there are two characters to choose from, each radically changing the toughness of the game. The action itself is set inside Raccoon city's police department, and is staged after Chris and Jill return from the Resident evil mansion, zombies are found wandering the city's streets, and soon infect many of Raccoon's citizens. The two characters available in RE2 are Leon Kennedy a police recruit, and Eliza Walker, a university student who 'loves motorcycles'? Here are clips of the characters:
The zombies in RE2 have also been re-designed and now have much more intelligence than their 'friends' in Resident evil. The zombies move at a different speed every time, some walking towards you, others running at your character. Capcom have done this to keep the player on his guard at all times, as in Resident evil, many people took the zombies for granted.
Extra damage can now be inflicted on your enemies in RE2, for example if you shoot a zombie in the midsection with a shotgun, it will blow him in half, but the top half of the zombie continues towards you, shuffling along the ground.
If the game is anywhere nears the top standard of Resident Evil, or even better, we may have the best game for the Playstation and other consoles - ever! Suck it N64!
The game is expected to be released in Japan after Christmas, and, if the censors don't get their hands on it, over here in Britain, during April/June.

1 -Resident Evil 2 finally came out January 1998,if you don't know why it was so delayed, visit my Resident Evil 1.5 info page. Well enough about that let me tell you about RE2.The new things about the game are new enemies, Claire Redfield, she is looking for her brother Chris, who is in Europe looking into Umbrella Headquarters. Also "the zapping system, which changes a scenario as you go along though the game. The game takes place 2 months after the incident in the mansion happened. Then when Leon and Claire came to the city, it started happening again. So then it's Leon and Claire's job to take out Umbrella. At the end of both scenarios of the game, they still never find Chris and they still have to take out Umbrella in Europe.

2 -Resident Evil hit us by storm when it came to U.S stores, but how did Resident Evil 2 shock us? Well the answer is, a great deal. Resident Evil 2 is still the highest selling PlayStation game in the United States.

3 -So you want to know about the graphics huh? Well they're amazing! I was totally amazed when I played for the first time over Joel's one of my friends and editors house. The zombies look much more detailed, but the biggest graphical improvement would have to be, how the main characters look. For instance in Resident Evil 1 both Chris and Jill were fair looking, but Leon the male hero and Claire (female hero, Chris's sister) are amazing looking. Resident Evil 2 only has two bad points, one the game is to easy and two the game is to short. Other than that the game is flawless. Some of the weapons that you will get along the way are, flame throwers, machine guns, pistols, knives, bazookas, grenade launchers and shotguns.
If you're a huge Resident Evil or Tomb Raider fan then you will definitely love this game. But if you only like games such as Rascal he he... then you will probably hate this game.

Been a real long time since and update. We'll some new news that's saddens me greatly is that Capcom has announced a deal with Nintendo to license Resident Evil. This could mean RE 4 might come out on the 64 instead of the PSX. Hopefully they release it on both. Also I have bought the RE2 comic (the 2cnd, I missed the first, and it wasn't all that bad. But, it reports that they are going to have action figures. (That HAS to be a joke, and they made collecting cards. Anything to make a buck.

Some really big news, in September Capcom will release a Dual Shock version of both RE: DC and RE2. They will have new music and will let you have access to new character, stories, and weapons. RE2 will have an "easy" mode with rockets and unlimited and ammo, and also an extreme battle mode where you are timed and get to choose from 3 difficulty levels. Also some new news, the new RE: DC will be released under the name Resident Evil Directors Cut Special Edition and will have 2 disks. One has the original Directors Cut with uncensored scenes and the other sounds REALLY COOL. It will make it possible for you to play the most out of every character in the game. Such as Wekser, Barry, Rebecca, Jill, Chris.
