I AM BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE...
CANCER COULD NOT BREAK MY SPIRIT,
SCARS COULD NOT MUTILATE MY BODY,
LOSS COULD NOT DIMINISH MY JOY,
FEAR COULD NOT PREVENT ME FROM BEING LOVED.

I AM BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE...
MORPHINE COULD NOT ERASE MY GOOD MEMORIES,
PAIN AND SICKNESS COULD NOT HAMPER MY ACTIVITIES,
TOMOXIFEN COULD NOT DRY UP MY JUICES
AND A 50/50 CHANCE FOR SURVIVAL,
COULD NOT PREOCCUPY MY MIND.

I AM BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE...
I REMEMBER THAT THE TIME OF DEATH IS UNCERTAIN
AND IN THAT KNOWLEDGE THE DUALITY OF
HOPE AND FEAR CEASES TO EXIST
I KNOW I AM STRONGER THEN THIS DISEASE
I AM BEAUTIFUL, BECAUSE I AM A SURVIVOR!

I Have Always Heard That You Cannot Inherit Cancer, That It Was An "Old Wives Tale", A Myth, No Truth To That What So Ever..

Coming From A Long Line Of Cancer Stricken Loved Ones, And Diagnosed With The Disease Myself, My Doctors Have Told Me That This, In Fact, Is NOT A Myth, And Cancer IS Heredity

Not Only Can You Inherit The Disease, Since You inherit DNA from both sides of your family, Mother and Father, My Doctors have told me that having a family history of cancer, on the father's side of the family also increases the risk.

You inherit your DNA (gene patterns) from both sides of the family. Dad's sperm carries his DNA into Mom's egg. So a true family history has to take into account both sides of the family tree.
