Plantae Kingdom!;)

Plants provide the oxygen we breathe and the food that sustains us -- either directly or indirectly, by feeding other animals. That is why this kingdom is very important.

Plantae Phylums...
  1. bryophyta(mosses)
  2. filicinophyta(ferns)
  3. angiospermphyta(flowering plants)
    • Here is a member of the plantae kingdom...

The Fern or as smart people like to refer to it... Microlepia strigosa.

Ferns grow in many different habitats around the world.since they are plants ferns are automatically photosynetic and get their energy from the sun.

      1. Fern Facts...
      2. They are older than land animals and far older than the dinosaurs
      3. The leafy branch of the fern is usually called a frond. The small leaflets that make up the whole frond are called pinnae
      4. Like all plants, ferns have evolved to suit their environment. Some can tolerate extreme drought and heat, others only live in the deepest rainforest.
      5. each fern has its own preferences for temperature; humidity; soil type, moisture and pH; light levels etc
      6. The very useful thing about all these ferns is that their occurrence is very reliable in the right conditions. They are an "indicator" of their preferred ecological niche
