1961 Woody Woodpecker Phantom of the Horse Opera. In this short Woody faces off against local bandito and all around bad guy, the Phantom. Cute, with good ending. Carries Phantom’s blackmail themes.

1969 Scooby Doo, Where Are You?: Backstage Rage Scooby and the gang take on a Phantom who keeps fairly close to the original novel.

1989 Babar: The Phantom Nelvana Limited. Babar meets a Phantom whose mask covers his shame. Even little ones will wonder how he ate and clothed himself for decades, but a nice version for the 8 and under set. Sorry, but this one is a TV pickup as well.

1989 Chip ‘N’ Dale Rescue Ranges: A Case of Stage Blight Disney does a fairly good job adapting the Phantom story to younger viewers.

1989 Count Duckula A Fright at the Opera. In this episode the Phantom runs amuck, kidnaping women and launching his devilish plot to destroy the Opera. He succeeds but not in a way we’d expect. 30 minutes, vhs or TV.

1989 The Real Ghostbusters: A Fright at the Opera The boys take on Valkyrites when a diva’s song summons them. The Phantom here is mostly just mentioned, but puts in an end of episode appearance.

1990 Jim Henson’s Muppet Babies: Sing a Song of Superheroes The baby muppets encounter Lon Chaney’s Phantom. Cute episode.

1992 Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Phantomato of the Opera Talk about a time warp. Here our hero, is well, the hero.

1992 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Phantom of the Sewers Great Phantom, he’s just a little slow on seeing the obvious.

1994 Magic School Bus: In The Haunted House Episode 8.You have to watch this and find out who the Phantom is. Seriously, you’ll know who the Phantom is by the Phantom’s voice.

1995 Goosebumps Phantom of the Auditorium. A fairly good film adaptation of Stine’s book. There are many Phantoms here so be warned. TV, one hour.

1996 Steven Spielberg Presents: Freakazoid! : Hero Boy Ricardo Mantalban guest stars as the third generation hack Phantom. Phantom to Phibes to Guitierrez.

2000 Are You Afraid of the Dark?: The Last Dance A cultured Phantom kidnaps the star violinist when the rec hall is slated to close. Can he win her heart and convince her to live with him?

2002 Big Wolf on Campus: There’s Something About Lori Said girl being a dead ringer for the Phantom’s old lover. Vampire of the Opera rehash, anyone?

2008 Chowder: Panini for President Air date: 11/6/2008 When Panini runs for president the villainous Gorgonzola becomes an ALW style Phantom to stop her.
