Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp, 6-7 Jr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-1 Fr. Paul Jackson, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone. (6-2 Sr. Corey Walden missed tonight’s game with a minor injury).  Belmont University coach Rick Byrd countered with 6-7 So. Evan Bradds, 6-3 Jr. Craig Bradshaw, 6-8 Fr. Amanze Egekeze, 6-1 Sr. Reece Chamberlain, and 6-3 So. Taylor Barnette.

Belmont ended the game on an 8-0 run to defeat EKU by a score of 66-61.  The score was tied twice and there were seven lead changes in this game.  Belmont held a 33-18 advantage in three point points.  Belmont shot 40% from the field including 11 of 31 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 EKU turnovers.  EKU shot 44.4% from the field including six of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 19 Belmont turnovers.

Craig Bradshaw led Belmont University with 25 points including three three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Taylor Barnette added 11 points including three three point baskets.  6-2 So. Caleb Chowbay chipped in with 10 points.  Amanze Egekeze recorded five points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Timmy Knipp led EKU with 18 points including four three point baskets.  Isaac McGlone added 14 points including two three point baskets and five steals.  Eric Stutz recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
