Jacksonville State University coach James Green started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. DJ Felder, 6-3 Sr. Darion Rackley, 6-8 Sr. Jamal Hunter, 5-10 Sr. Avery Moore, and 6-3 Fr. Malcolm Drumwright.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Jeff Neubauer countered with 6-7 Sr. Timmy Knipp, 6-7 Jr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-8 Sr. Eric Stutz, 6-2 Sr. Corey Walden, and 6-2 So. Isaac McGlone.

Eastern Kentucky University captured a hard fought 63-57 victory over Jacksonville State.  There were eight ties and three lead changes in this game.  EKU shot 46.8% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 16 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 JSU turnovers.  JSU shot 44% from the field including 12 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Gamecocks connected on one of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 EKU turnovers.

Corey Walden led EKU with 15 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Eric Stutz added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Timmy Knipp also recorded 14 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  6-5 Jr. Denzel Richardson chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.

DJ Felder led JSU with 21 points including five three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Malcolm Drumwright added 10 points and four assists.  Darion Rackley chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Avery Moore recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Jamal Hunter added six points and seven rebounds.
