West All Stars vs. East All Stars (Girls)

Warren Central High School

West All-Stars coach Roderick Thomas (Paducah Tilghman) started the following lineup: Alex Hibbs (Presentation), J’Nayah Hall (Apollo), Leslie Fries (PRP), Aaliyah Rogers (Caldwell County), and Karlee Humphrey (Paducah Tilghman).  East All-Stars coach Judie Mason (Danville) countered with Logan Fraley (Boyd County), Asia Sims (Bourbon County), Sandra Skinner (George Rogers Clark), Cameron McPherson (Danville), and Adison Corder (Southwestern).

J’Nayah Hall scored in the closing seconds to give the West All-Stars a 104-102 victory over the East All-Stars.  There were six lead changes and seven ties in this game.  West shot 55.4% from the field including eight of 14 from the three point line.  They connected on14 of 28 free throws, pulled down 55 rebounds, and scored 15 points off eight East turnovers.  East shot 40.2% from the field including 13 of 37 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 West turnovers.  East attempted 92 shots from the field compared to74 attempts for the West.

Alexandria Peden (Waggener) was named MVP for the West squad and led her team with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Aaliyah Rogers added 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Ansley Stalcup (Clinton County) recorded 17 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Leslie Fries added 16 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, and seven assists.  J’Nayah Hall recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and three steals.

Cameron McPherson was named MVP for the East squad and led her team with 31 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.  Sandra Skinner added 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Adison Corder recorded 19 points including three three point baskets.  Logan Fraley chipped in with 15 points on five three point baskets.  Ajaycia Cotton (Clay County) dished out six assists.  Kelsey Garcia (Sheldon Clark) and Asia Sims pulled down eight and seven rebounds respectively.

East All-Stars (102) – Fraley 15, Sims 4, Skinner 20, McPherson 31, Corder 19, Stidham 5, Cotton 4, Garcia 4.
