Southeast Missouri coach Rekha Patterson started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Erin Bollman, 5-9 So. Hannah Noe, 6-2 Sr. Connor King, 5-3 Fr. Adrianna Murphy, and 5-6 Jr, Brianna Mitchell.  Eastern Kentucky University Chrissy Roberts countered with 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 6-1 Sr. Miranda Maples, 5-8 Jr. Alexus Cooper, and 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter.

 

Eastern Kentucky outscored Southeast Missouri 14-0 over the last 4:39 minutes of the game and Michaela Hunter hit a basket with 15 seconds remaining to give EKU the first lead of the game and a 56-55 victory.  Eastern Kentucky shot 31.7% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Southeast Missouri turnovers.  Southeast Missouri shot 34.3% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Redhawks connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Shameekia Murray led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Michaela Hunter added 15 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Jalen O’Bannon recorded 10 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

6-0 Fr. Imani Johnson led Southeast Missouri with 14 points and nine rebounds.  Brianna Mitchell added 13 points.  Adrianna Murphy recorded 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  5-11 So. Deja Jones chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.
