Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Shameekia Murray, 5-10 Jr. Michaela Hunter, 6-1 Jr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-7 Fr. Jada Triplett, and 5-8 Je. Alexus Cooper.  Belmont coach Cameron Newbauer countered wih 6-1 Jr. Lauren Thompson, 5-11 So. Kylee Smith, 6-3 So. Sally McCabe, 5-5 Fr. Darby Maggard, and 5-11 Fr. Jenny Roy.

Belmont outscored Eastern Kentucky 21-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 72-61 victory.  The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Belmont shot 35.5% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 22 of 31 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Belmont turnovers.

Kylee Smith led Belmont with 19 points, eight rebound, and three assists.  Darby Maggard added 17 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists,  Sally McCabe recorded 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Jalen O’Bannon led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points, 10 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  5-5 Jt. Mariah Massengill added 11 points.  5-11 Fr. Abby Wright added nine points.   Shameekia Murray chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.  Michaela Hunter also scored eight points.
