Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jarelle Reischel, 6-7 Sr. Ja’Mill Powell, 6-9 Fr. Nick Mayo, 6-2 Jr. Isaac McGlone, and 6-5 Jr. Javontae Hawkins.  Belmont coach Rick Byrd countered with 6-7 Jr. Evan Bradds, 6-3 So. Austin Luke, 6-8 So. Amanze Egekeze, 6-3 Sr. Craig Bradshaw, and 6-3 Jr. Taylor Barnette.

Eastern Kentucky defeated Belmont University by a score of 88-78.  Eastern Kentucky shot 54.4% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Belmont turnovers.  Belmont shot 41.5% from the field including 14 of 42 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Javontae Hawkins led Eastern Kentucky with 24 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Jarelle Reischel added 20 points including seven of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and three assists.  6-1 So. Paul Jackson recorded 15 points including two three point baskets.  Nick Mayo chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots.

Craig Bradshaw led Belmont with 20 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  6-8 Jr. Nick Smith added 15 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Taylor Barnette chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets and four assists.  Evan Bradds recorded eight points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.
