Methodist coach DeeDee Jarman started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Jalisia Campbell, 5-8 So. Kaneya Chambers, 6-2 Fr. Shelly McDonald, 5-5 Fr. Christian Sanders, and 5-6 So. Lillian Geehring.  Transylvania coach Juli Fulks countered with 5-10 Fr. Shelby Boyle, 5-7 Jr. Sarah Ashley, 6-0 Jr. Rachel Cox, 5-4 So. Celia Kline, and 5-6 So. Macey Ford.

 

Celia Kline unleashed a three point barrage (nine of 13) to lead Transylvania to a 74-50 victory over Methodist.  Transylvania shot 32.9% from the field including 13 of 36 from the three point line.  The Pioneers connected on 15 of 16 free throws, pulled down 55 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 19 Methodist turnovers.  Methodist shot 29.5% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Monarchs connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 19 Transylvania turnovers.

 

Celia Kline led Transylvania with 29 points including nine three point baskets, five rebounds, and five assists.  5-7 So. Taylor Jackson added 11 points and four rebounds.  Rachel Cox recorded nine points, 12 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  5-9 Fr. Ashton Woodard added eight points and four rebounds.

 

Christian Sanders led Methodist with 13 points including three three point baskets and four steals.  Kaneya Chambers also scored 13 points, pulled down four rebounds, and dished out three assists.  Jalisia Campbell recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.
