George Rogers Clark Robbie Graham started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Maleaha Bell, 5-10 So. Hayley Harrison, 6-3 Sr. Elizabeth Hardiman, 5-7 Fr. Kennedy Igo, and 5-8 So. Jasmine Flowers.  Madison Central catholic coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Madison Central gave an excellent effort against a very good George Rogers Clark team but could not generate enough offense to overcome the Cardinals who earned a 41-30 victory.  Madison Central held an 18-11 lead in the second quarter but George Rogers Clark closed out the first half with a 12-0 run to lead 23-18 at the intermission.  George Rogers Clark shot 32.7% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Cardinals was zero of four from the free throw line, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 26.2% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored three points off 14 George Rogers Clark turnovers.

 

Elizabeth Hardiman displayed a solid all around post presence and led the Cardinals with 10 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Jasmine Flowers added nine points on three three point baskets.  Kennedy Igo recorded seven points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  5-9 Sr. Kylee Murray also scored seven points.

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 16 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Mallie Cornett created havoc in the paint tonight and scored six points, pulled down nine rebounds, and blocked eight shots.  Kasi Schneid pulled down seven rebounds.
