Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Jones, 5-8 Jr. Braxton Price, 5-8 So. Destyne Jackson, 5-4 Jr. Alexis Lutz, and 5-7 So. Kiya Thompson.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Madison Central led 41-28 in the final quarter but had to withstand a Henry Clay rally to earn a 45-42 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Madison Central shot 45.7% from the field including two of seven from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 18.9% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 23 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 17 points and five rebounds.  Mallie Cornett added 10 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Bailee Vanover chipped in with nine points and four assists.  Charity Mack added six points and six rebounds.

 

Destyne Jackson led Henry Clay with 17 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Braxton Price added eight points.  Cheyenne Jones and Kiya Thompson pulled down nine and seven rebounds respectively.
