Montgomery County coach John High started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Makayla Harris, 5-5 Sr. Sydney Greene, 5-9 Sr. Lake Williamson, 5-4 So. Kaitlyn Barber, and 5-4 Jr. Delaney Bromagen.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-4 Fr. Taleya Todd.  (Lindsey Johns was unavailable for this game due to a concussion suffered in a previous game.)

 

Madison Central raced out to a 19-2 first quarter lead and got balanced scoring from all five starters to record a 61-34 victory over Montgomery County.  Madison Central shot 46.2% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 27.9% from the field including six of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Mallie Cornett led Madison Central with 12 points on five of five from the field and two of two free throws.  Bailee Vanover also scored 12 points.  Kasi Schneid added 10 points and three steals.  Taleya Todd chipped in with nine points and Charity Mack added seven points and four assists.  5-10 Fr. Jekauri McKeithen pulled down six rebounds.

 

Delaney Bromagen led Montgomery County with 21 points including five three point baskets.  Lake Williamson and Makayla Harris each recorded four points and five rebounds.
