UVA-Wise coach Blake Mellinger started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Taiwo Badmus, 6-4 Fr. Chance Sheffey, 6-6 So. Dimitri Sousa, 5-10 Fr. Michael Seals, and 5-10 Jr. Ricardo Hill Jr.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-6 Fr. Deandre Dishman, 6-2 Fr. Parker Chitty, 6-9 So. Nick Mayo, 5-11 Fr. Asante Gist, and 6-2 Sr. Isaac McGlone.

Eastern Kentucky University defeated UVA-Wise by a score of 70-51.  Eastern Kentucky shot 42.1% from the field including seven of 25 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 UVA-Wise turnovers.  UVA-Wise shot 34% from the field including three of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Cavaliers connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two blocked shots.  Mayo was seven of nine from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Asante Gist also scored 16 points including four three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.  Deandre Dishman recorded 15 points and seven rebounds.  Dishman was four of five from the field and seven of nine free throws. 

Taiwo Badmus led UVA-Wise with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Michael Seals added 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Ricardo Hill Jr. recorded nine points on three three point baskets.
