Jacksonville State University coach Rick Pietri started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Tasha Margruder, 5-9 Sr. Briana Benson, 6-1 Jr. Tyler Phelion, 5-3 Sr. Lacey Buchanon, and 5-7 Sr. Kelly Naughton.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 So. Abby Wright, 5-11 Sr. Shavontae Naylor, 6-1 Sr. Jalen O’Bannon, 5-3 Jr. Marcella Rocha, and 5-8 Sr. Alexus Cooper.

Jacksonville State University rallied to defeat Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 54-49.  The score was tied six times and there were 13 lead changes in the game.  Jacksonville State shot 35.7% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  They connected on 12 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 38.5% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Jacksonville State turnovers.

Tyler Phelion led Jacksonville State with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Lacey Buchanon added 10 points and five assists.  Briana Benson recorded nine points and 10 rebounds.  6-1 So. Rayven Pearson added six points and nine rebounds.

5-5 Sr. Mariah Massengill led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Shavontae Naylor added 12 points and six rebounds.  Abby Wright recorded eight points and six rebounds.  5-10 Sr. Zee Willix pulled down nine rebounds.
