Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-6 Fr. Marlon Adams, 6-7 Jr. Zach Charles, 6-9 So. Nick Mayo, 5-11 Fr. Asante Gist, and 6-2 Sr. Isaac McGlone.  University Tennessee Martin coach Anthony Stewart countered with 6-7 Sr. Chandler Rowe, 6-5 Sr. Kedar Edwards, 6-7 Sr. Javier Martinez, 6-0 Sr. Jacolby Mobley, and 6-2 Jr. Matthew Butler.

 

Eastern Kentucky led 39-33 at halftime but was blitzed 52-29 by Tennessee Marin on their way to an 85-68 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were 16 lead changes in this contest.  Tennessee Martin shot a sizzling 62.1% from the field in the second half.  University Tennessee Martin shot 50% from the field including 10 of 25 from the three point line.  The Skyhawks connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 47.1% from the field including 15 of 33 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Tennessee Martin turnovers.

 

Jacolby Mobley led Tennessee Martin with 21 points including five three point baskets and five assists.  Javier Martinez added 18 points and 12 rebounds.  Kedar Edwards recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Matthew Butler chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets.  Chandler Rowe added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

 

6-0 Jr. Dillon Avare led Eastern Kentucky with 21 points on seven three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  Nick Mayo added 17 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Asante Gist recorded 13 points and five assists.  Zach Charles pulled down seven rebounds.
