Asbury coach Will Shouse started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Trenton Thompson, 6-2 Jr. Clif Conley, 6-7 So. Jared Farris, 5-9 Jr. Clarien Washington, and 5-9 Sr. Will Henderson.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd, and 6-5 Fr. Peyton Broughton.

 

Eastern Kentucky University led 39-33 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Asbury by a score of 99-71.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.7% from the field including seven of 25 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 24 of 27 free throws, pulled down 56 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Asbury turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky held a 20-11 advantage in second chance points.  Asbury shot 30.4% from the field including 12 of 38 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Peyton Broughton led Eastern Kentucky with 21 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Nick Mayo added 19 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Dedric Boyd recorded 17 points including nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and 12 assists.  DeAndre Dishman added 15 points and nine rebounds.  Jackson Davis chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.

 

Clif Conley led Asbury with 18 points including three three point baskets and seven of seven free throws.  Trenton Thompson added 16 points including three three point baskets and nine rebounds.  6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters recorded 11 points and Will Henderson dished out 11 assists.
