Ohio University coach Bob Bolden started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Katie Barker, 5-9 So. Amani Burke, 6-0 Jr. Kendall Jessing, 5-9 Sr. Taylor Agler, and 5-8 Jr. Dominique Dosseck.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 5-11 Jr. Abby Wright, 5-11 Fr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr. Madison Pierce, 5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon.

 

Eastern Kentucky led 33-32 at halftime but Ohio University stormed back in the second half to defeat the Colonels by a score of 69-57.  The score was tied eight times and there were nine lead changes in the game.  Turnovers played a big part in the loss as Ohio University scored 28 points off 27 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Ohio University shot 38.5% from the field including seven of 26 from the three point line.  The Bobcats connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and held a 23-5 advantage in bench scoring.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.2% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 11 Ohio University turnovers,

 

Dominique Dossick led a balanced Ohio University scoring attack with 15 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-7 Fr. Cierra Hooks added 14 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Taylor Agler recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and four steals.  Amani Burke also reached double figures with 11 points and five rebounds.

 

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 20 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists.  Bria Bass added 16 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  A’Queen Hayes recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
