Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-7 Sr. Zach Charles, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Fr. JacQuess Hobbs.  Marshall University coach Dan D’Antoni countered with 6-9 Sr. Milan Mijovic, 6-4 Jr. CJ Burks, 6-9 Jr. Ajdin Penava, 5-11 Fr. Jarrod West, and 6-3 Jr. Jon Elmore.

Marshall blistered the nets at a 61.8% from the field including 11 of 25 from the three point line in a 91-71 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Marshall connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 39.2% from the field including five of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 Marshall turnovers.

Jon Elmore led Marshall with 26 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, and five assists.  CJ Burks added 25 points including three three point baskets and seven assists.  Ajdin Penava recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and nine blocked shots.  6-4 Jr. Rondale Watson chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 19 points and six rebounds.  Jackson Davis added 17 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman recorded 16 points and eight rebounds. JacQuess Hobbs dished out 10 assists and recorded seven steals.  6-5 Fr. AJ Youngman added nine points on three three point baskets.
