Jacksonville State coach Ray Harper started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Christian Cunningham, 6-3 Jr. Marlon Hunter, 6-7 Jr. Jason Burnell, 6-2 Sr. Malcolm Drumwright, and 6-3 Jr. Jamall Gregory.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman, 6-5 Fr. AJ Youngman, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 So. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd.

Jacksonville State defeated Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 68-60.  The score was tied two times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Jacksonville State shot 40.7% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  The Gamecocks connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 35.3% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 22 of 27 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored five points off nine Jacksonville State turnovers.

Malcolm Drumwright led Jacksonville State with 20 points including four three point baskets and four assists.  Jason Burnell added 15 points and eight rebounds.  7-0 Sr. Norbertas Giga recorded 12 points.  Christian Cunningham pulled down eight rebounds.

DeAndre Dishman led Eastern Kentucky University with 21 points and eight rebounds.  Dedric Boyd added 20 points including nine of 10 free throws.  Nick Mayo recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists.
