Belmont University coach Rick Byrd started the following lineup: 6-8 Sr. Amanze Egekeze, 6-7 Jr. Dylan Windler, 6-10 Sr. Tyler Hadden, 6-2 Jr. Kevin McClain, and 6-3 Sr. Austin Luke.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale countered with 6-7 Sr. Zach Charles, 6-6 So. DeAndre Dishman, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd, and 6-5 Fr. AJ Youngman.

 

Belmont University shot a sizzling 61.8% from the field in a dominating performance in a 98-63 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Belmont shot 61.8% from the field including 13 of 26 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 17 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 42.6% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on nine of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored four points off six Belmont turnovers.

 

Amanze Egekeze led Belmont University with 30 points including five three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Egekeze was 10 of 13 from the field including five of six from beyond the arc and five of nine free throws.  Dylan Windler added 16 points including six of six free throws and five rebounds.  Kevin McClain recorded 12 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Tyler Hadden also scored 12 points.  Austin Luke added 11 points including three three point baskets and 10 assists.

 

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points, six rebounds, and two assists.  5-11 Sr. Dillon Avare added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Zach Charles recorded 11 points including seven of seven free throws and five rebounds.  DeAndre Dishman chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists.
