Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Taleya Todd, 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-6 Jr. Madison Barnard.  Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons countered with 5-8 Jr. Zaria Carter, 5-7 Sr. Paige Carter, 5-9 So. Aleigh Richardson, 5-6 So. Sunni Walters, and 5-8 Fr. Samantha Cornelison.

The game was tied 39-39 after three quarters and Madison Central pulled away late to defeat Madison Southern 51-45 in a hotly contested game that could have went either way.  There were seven ties and seven lead changes in the game.  Madison Central shot 41.3% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 32.1% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on two of two free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.

Bailee Vanover led Madison Central with 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Taleya Todd added 13 points including two three point baskets.  Je’Kauri McKeithen recorded 11 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Madison Barnard chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.  Blaze Pacheco added three points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 14 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Sunni Walters added 12 points on four three point baskets and three assists.  Aleigh Richardson recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.  Paige Carter chipped in with five points.
