Kennesaw State coach Al Skinner started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Isaac Mbuyamba, 6-8 Jr. Bryson Lockley, 6-8 Sr. Kosta Jankovic, 6-0 Jr. Tyler Hooker, and 6-5 Sr. Kyle Clarke.  Eastern Kentucky University coach A.W. Hamilton countered with 6-8 Jr. Lachlan Anderson, 6-5 So. Peyton Broughton, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 Jr. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson.

 

Eastern Kentucky University scored 61 points in the second half to pull away for a 100-81 victory over Kennesaw state.  Eastern Kentucky shot 50% from the field including 13 of 30 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Kennesaw State turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky held a 40-16 advantage in bench scoring.  Kennesaw state shot 44.4% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc.  They connected on 31 of 41 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 28 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  6-2 Fr. Jomaru Brown added 21 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Peyton Broughton recorded 13 points including three three point baskets.

 

Tyler Hooker led Kennesaw State with 29 points including 13 of 14 free throws and seven rebounds.  Kyle Clarke added 20 points including 10 of 14 free throws and seven rebounds.  6-8 Fr. Ugo Obineke recorded 16 points.

Eastern Kentucky 39  61 – 100
