Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright, 6-2 Sr. Madison Pierce, 5-6 So. Teri Goodlett, and 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon.  West Virginia University coach Mike Carey countered with 6-0 Sr. Naomi Davenport, 5-11 Jr. Tynice Martin, 6-6 Sr. Theresa Ekhelar, 5-9 So. Kysre Gondrezick, and 5-9 Sr. Katrina Pardee.

 

Eastern Kentucky University only scored 18 points in last three quarters in an 81-39 loss to West Virginia.  West Virginia shot 45.9% from the field including nine of 26 from the three point line.  The Mountaineers connected on 26 of 24 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 22 points on 18 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 29.2% from the field including seven of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored three points off four West Virginia turnovers.

 

Tynice Martin led West Virginia with 17 points including four three point baskets and 11 rebounds.  Kysre Gondrezick added 17 points, three rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Naomi Davenport recorded 13 points and eight rebounds.  Katrina Pardee chipped in with 12 points and four rebounds.  5-5 Fr. Madisen Smith added 11 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.

 

6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes led Eastern Kentucky with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Bria Bass added eight points and three rebounds.  Shay Solomon recorded five points and seven rebounds.
