Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Lachlan Anderson, 6-5 So. Peyton Broughton, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 Jr. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson.  Tennessee coach Rick Barnes countered with 6-7 Jr. Grant Williams, 6-6 Sr. Admiral Schofield, 6-11 Sr. Kyle Alexander, 6-3 Jr. Jordan Bone, and 6-6 So. Yves Pons.

 

Tennessee defeated Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 95-67.  Tennessee shot 50.7% from the field including seven of 28 from the three point line.  The Volunteers connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 20 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 35.6% from the field including eight of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 Tennessee turnovers.

 

Grant Williams led Tennessee with 21 points including nine of nine free throws, 11 rebounds, five assists, and three blocked shots.  Admiral Schofield added 20 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Jordan Bone recorded 14 points and seven assists.  Yves Pons chipped in with 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Kyle Alexander added seven points and seven rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Lamonte Turner recorded seven points, five rebounds, and five assists.

 

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 23 points including 10 of 10 free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  6-2 Fr. Jomaru Brown added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and six steals.  Dujuanta Weaver chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets.
