Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Amiya Jenkins, 5-6 So. Ravion Jackson, 5-10 Fr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Jr. Taviona Sanford, and 5-7 Sr. Kiya Thompson.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-5 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-5 Sr. Madison Barnard.

 

Henry Clay raced out to a 42-18 lead at halftime on their way to a 68-48 victory over Madison Central.  Henry Clay dominated play tonight and shot 54.9% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 21 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 38.1% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Henry Clay turnovers. 

 

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 25 points including five three point baskets, six assists, and seven steals.  Amiya Jenkins added 23 points and three steals.  5-0 Fr. Maddie Kaufman recorded seven points and five assists.  5-10 Fr. Lauren Thomas added six points, five rebounds, and two steals.

 

Kelsey Powell led Madison Central with 10 points and four rebounds.  Madison Barnard added 10 points including two three point baskets.  Jekauri McKeithen recorded eight points and six rebounds.
