Northern Kentucky University coach John Brannen started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Dantez Walton, 6-4 Fr. Trevon Faulkner, 6-8 Sr. Drew McDonald, 6-0 GR Zaynah Robinson, and 6-1 Jr. Tyler Sharp.  Eastern Kentucky University coach A.W. Hamilton countered with 6-8 Jr. Lachlan Anderson, 6-5 So. Peyton Broughton, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 6-2 So. JacQuess Hobbs, and 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson.

Nick Mayo hit a jump shot with two seconds left in the game to give Eastern Kentucky University a 76-74 victory over Northern Kentucky University.  The score was tied 14 times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 38.3% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 25 of 32 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Northern Kentucky turnovers.  Northern Kentucky shot 42.45 from the field including eight of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Norse connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 27 points including 17 of 20 free throws, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  6-2 Fr. Jomaru Brown added 16 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and four assists.  Lachlan Anderson recorded nine points, five rebounds, and two steals.  JacQuess Hobbs added eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Drew McDonald led Northern Kentucky University with 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  Tyler Sharp added 18 points including three three point baskets.  Zaynah Robinson recorded 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Dantez Walton chipped in with seven points, nine rebounds, and three assists.  7-1 So. Chris Voght added six points and 12 rebounds.
