Eastern Kentucky University coach A.W. Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-8 Fr. Tre King, 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 Jr. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Fr. Jomaru Brown.  Austin Peay University coach Matt Figger countered with 6-5 Sr. Chris Porter-Bunton, 6-5 So. Terry Taylor, 6-5 GR Jarrett Givens, 6-0 Sr. Zach Glotta, and 6-4 Sr. Steve Harris.

Austin Peay raced out to a 56-35 halftime lead on their way to a 93-75 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Austin Peay shot 56.9% from the field including 11 of 21 from the three point line.  The Governors connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 45.5% from the field including eight of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed 23 turnovers.

Jarrett Givens led Austin Peay with 25 points including seven three point baskets and five rebounds.  Terry Taylor added 24 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  6-2 So. Dayton Gumm recorded 17 points and four assists.  Chris Porter-Bunton chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, and seven assists.  6-0 Fr. Antwaun Butler added four points, four rebounds, and nine assists.

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky with 26 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  Nick Mayo added 15 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Dujuanta Weaver recorded 15 points including four three point baskets and four assists.
