Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-6 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-6 Sr. Madison Barnard.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 So. Kenady Tompkins, 5-10 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-6 Jr. Morgan DeFoor.

 

Scott County dominated tonight in an 85-35 victory over Madison Central.  Scott County shot 44% from the field including eight of 32 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on three of nine free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 23 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 22.4% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored five points off four Scott County turnovers.

 

Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 28 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Kenady Tompkins added 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Maaliya Owens recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Malea Williams chipped in with eight points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Juliette Smith added six points and six rebounds and scored her 1,000th point as a Lady Cardinal tonight.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with eight points and 14 rebounds.  5-7 So. Lacie Parks added seven points and five rebounds.  5-7 8th Grader Chloe Freeman recorded seven points including two three point baskets.  Logan Hudson pulled down 10 rebounds.
