Madison Central vs. Tates Creek (Girls)

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-7 Jr. Taleya Todd, 5-9 Sr. Logan Hudson, 5-6 Sr. Kelsey Powell, and 5-6 Sr. Madison Barnard.  Tates Creek coach Matt Yates countered with 5-8 Jr. Yasmeen Shalash, 5-8 Fr. Caty Armishaw, 5-7 Jr. Lateya Wilson, 5-2 Fr. Alisce Lyvers, and 5-2 Sr. Kiara Jackson.

 

Madison Central outscored Tates Creek 17-10 in the third quarter on their way to a 56-50 victory over Tates Creek.  There were four ties and eight lead changes in the game.  Madison Central shot 37% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 22 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 36% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 22 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 27 points, 12 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  McKeithen was nine of 14 from the field and nine of 11 from the free throw line.  Kelsey Powell added nine points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Madison Barnard recorded nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Taleya Todd added eight points and three rebounds.

 

5-2 Fr. Jada McDonald led Tates Creek with 17 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Kiara Jackson added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Yasmeen Shalash chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.  Alisce Lyvers recorded six points, six rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
