Harlan County coach Debbie Green started the following lineup: 5-6 Sr. Morgan Blakley, 5-6 So. Jaylin Smith, 5-8 Jr. Kassydee Owens, 5-5 Jr. Kelly Beth Hoskins, and 5-5 Sr. Hannah Wood.  Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Jr. Raelynn Miller, 5-8 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-4 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum.

 

Madison Central outscored Harlan County 22-6 in the second quarter on their way to a 62-51 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in the game.  Madison Central shot 47.9% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 21 Harlan County turnovers.  Harlan County shot 36.8% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Black Bears connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.  Taleya Todd added 18 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.  Brianna Bierbaum recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Eve Carter added eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

 

Morgan Blakley led Harlan County with18 points including eight of 13 free throws, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Hannah Wood added 14 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Kelly Beth Hoskins recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Jaylin Smith chipped in with seven points and eight rebounds.
