Tennessee  Tech University John Pelphrey started the following lineup: 6-5 Fr.Tujuatae Williams, 6-5 So. Jared Sherfield, 6-6 Jr. Larry Kuimi, 6-0 So. Jr. Clay, and 6-5 Sr. Darius Allen.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-8 So. Tre King, 6-3 Sr. Ty Taylor, 6-7 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-2 Jr. Jacquess Hobbs, and 6-2 So. Jomaru Brown.

 

Eastern Kentucky University raced out to a 49-30 halftime lead on their way to a 74-59 victory over Tennessee Tech University.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 50% from the field including 12 of 27 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down33 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 35.9% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on four of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored five points off 14 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Tre King led a balanced Eastern Kentucky scoring attack with 15 points, four rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Ty Taylor added 13 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists.  6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank recorded 13 points 13 points including three three point baskets.  Jomaru Brown chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Michael Moreno added eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.  6-9 Sr. Lachlan Anderson recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Jacquess Hobbs dished out eight assists.

 

Darius Allen led Tennessee Tech University with 16 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals.  Jr. Clay added 11 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.  6-4 So. Hunter Vick recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Tujautae Williams chipped in with six points, eight rebounds, and two assists.
