Eastern Illinois University coach Matt Bollant started the following lineup:  6-0 Sr. Jennifer Nehls, 5-9 Fr. Lariah Washington, 6-1So. Abby Wahl, 5-8 So. Kira Arthofer, and 5-8 Jr. Karle Pace.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 6-1 Fr. Anysa Jordan, 6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray, 6-2 Jr.I’Liyah Green, 6-6 Jr. Qay Stanton, and 5-7 Jr. De’ayra Davis.

Eastern Illinois raced out to a 27-14 first quarter lead on their way to an 83-63 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Eastern Illinois University shot 40% from the field including nine of 25 from the three point line.  The Panthers connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 31.7% from the field including 11 of 33 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 14 of 24 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 EIU turnovers.

Karle Pace led EIU with25 points including three three point baskets, eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  5-11 Fr.Morgan Litwiller added 16 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Lariah Washington recorded 15 points and six rebounds.  5-8 So. Jordyn Hughes chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Jennifer Nehls added eight points and nine rebounds.

Qay Stanton led EKU with 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Samari Mowbray added 13 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  I’Liyah Green recorded 10 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  De’ayra Davis chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  6-3 Fr. Emma Hacker added seven points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.
