SIU Edwardsville coach Paula Buscher started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Allie Troeckler, 5-10 Fr. Tori Handley, 5-10 So. Kelsie Williams, 5-4 So. Mikia Keith, and 5-9 Jr. Christen King.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray, 5-11 Jr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr.I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr. Teri Goodlett, and 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton.

Eastern Kentucky University led by 11 in the second quarter but had to withstand a rally by the Cougars to earn a 49-46 victory over SIU Edwardsville.  SIUE was hampered by the loss of leading scorer on the season Allie Troeckler with an ankle injury after only 14 minutes of playing time.  EKU shot 33.3% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored five points off 18 SIUE turnovers.  SIUE shot 26.2% from the field including four of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 20 EKU turnovers.

Teri Goodlett led Eastern Kentucky University with 13 points, three rebounds, and two assists.  I’Liyah Green added 12 points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-7 Jr. De’ayra Davis recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Bria Bass chipped in with six points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

5-11 Fr. Mikayla Kinnard led SIU Edwardsville with 12 points and four steals.  Christen King added 10 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  5-5 So. Mikala Hall chipped in with seven points 6-2 Fr. Ajulu Thatha pulled down 10 rebounds,
