William Bledsaw was born near Beecher City, Illinois in 1887. His twin Edward died at birth. William had the job of hunting for the family's food because they moved a lot. He made the statement that he lived in log homes in which you could throw a cat through the logs. William married Ada Cecile Trueblood in 1915.She was born Feb.27,1897 and passed away June of 1972. First he started working for a farmer as a farm hand near Martinsville, Illinois. He later moved to East St.Louis, Illinois and attended Davis Barber College. In a week he was training people. He worked for a oil company walking from town to town checking the pipeline until he married. He then started working as a barber in Decatur, Illinois.He worked for Illinois termanal as a Foreman/mechanic. Then he started contracting. He worked for hisself for over twenty years in Decatur as a concrete contractor. He also worked for fifteen years at the Wabash railroad.William(Bill) lived to be 89 years old.He died in 1976. William and Ada had a large family. Beulah,Eva,Don,Walter,Vivian,Jack,and Ralph.
