Week Nine in Review - October 20, 2003

Henry Clay 20    Paul Dunbar  10  
Henry Clay pulled away from a 3-3 halftime tie to defeat Dunbar in a key district game.  The Blue Devils were led tonight by a very aggressive defense and the all-around skills of WR Aubrey WhiteBobby Vyverberg led Dunbar with 146 yards on 26 rushing attempts.

Tates Creek 42    Scott County  21  
Tates Creek overcame a 14-0 deficit to defeat Scott County.  Tates Creek was led by Quincy Taylor with 175 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries.  Taylor also had a 19 yard scoring reception.

Bryan Station 28    Woodford County  19   
Jamuan Andrews scored on a 94 yard kickoff return and caught an 88 yard TD pass from QB Chris Tichenor to lead the Defenders to victory. 
 
Lexington Catholic 74    Bourbon County  6
Lexington Catholic quarterbacks Justin Burke, Tanner Doss, and Eli Rector combined for eight TD passes to lead the Knights to victory 
 
Madison Central 54    Clark County  10
Madison Central led 13-7 at halftime but exploded for 41 second half points on their way to victory.  QB Ryan Barnes ran for two touchdowns and passed for another to lead the Indians to their seventh victory in eight outings. 
 
Trinity  56   Southern  0
QB Brian Brohm completed 24 of 31 passes for 284 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Shamrocks to their fourth consecutive victory. 
 
Mason County 41    Greenup County  14  
QB Dustin Grutza connected with Chris Lofton seven times for 175 yards and four touchdowns to help the Royals improve to 7-1 for the season. 
 
Highlands   29   Oldham County   20
Highlands broke a 20-20 tie late in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory. 
 
East Jessamine   75    Anderson County  0
Wes Coleman scored a school record seven touchdowns to lead the Jaguars to victory.  Coleman scored a on runs of 18, 49, 22, 15, 14, and 7 yards plus a 28 yard scoring pass from Patrick Hunt
 
Lexington Christian Academy 62    Paris  26
LCA QB G. Krueger threw for 345 yards and four scores as LCA improves to 7-1 for the year. 
 
Seneca 24    Ballard  17  
Andy Clark passed for 341 yards and three touchdowns as Seneca erased a 10-0 deficit to gain the victory. 
 
Hazard 51    Paintsville  6 (OT)
Hazard QB Stephen Sizemore threw TD passes of 3, 3, 55, and 63 yards to lead Hazard to victory. 
 
Boyle County 63    Marion County 0  
Boyle County erupted for 35 points in the second quarter to gain their eighth victory in eight outings. 
 
Rockcastle County 44    Madison Southern  0
Rockcastle County rushed for 245 yards and held Madison Southern to minus nine yards on the ground on their way to a shutout victory.
