Paul Dunbar rebounded from a loss to Madison Central two weeks ago to gain an impressive victory over Rockcastle County in their last outing.  RB Bobby Vyverberg has the luxury of running behind a large and athletic offensive line.  QB Davis Stanley has thrown for 422 yards and four touchdowns and has a dangerous receiver in Thurman Clay

Mason County moved up from Class 2A to 3A this season and have opened up with impressive victories over Breathitt County, Montgomery County, and Fleming County.  QB Dustin Grutza has completed 33 of 49 passes for 799 yards and 12 scoring strikes.  WR Chris Lofton has 15 receptions for 423 yards and five touchdowns. 

Dunbar's Bobby Vyverberg raced 20 yards for a touchdown to give his team a 20-14 victory in overtime over Mason County.  Mason County held a 14-7 lead at halftime as a result of a touchdown reception and a touchdown pass by Chris LoftonWayne Thurman tied the score for Dunbar with a five yard run in the third quarter.  Mason County lost three scoring opportunities in the fourth quarter as the Royals had two touchdowns and a safety nullified by penalties.  Mason County held a 241-182 advantage in total offense. 

Dunbar was led on offense by Bobby Vyverberg, who carried the ball 26 times for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Vyverberg also caught a TD pass for 15 yards.  Mason County was led by QB Dustin Grutza, who completed 16 of 26 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown.  Ty Sargent caught four passes for 65 yards and a TD.  Chris Lofton had three receptions for 47 yards and a TD.  Lofton also completed a pass for a 54 yards scoring strike to Sargent
