West Jessamine (4-3) vs. Harrison County (6-1) October 15, 2004

Harrison County survived a missed field goal by West Jessamine with seconds remaining in the game to claim a 28-27 victory.  Harrison County led 20-7 at halftime but West Jessamine roared back to take a 21-20 lead with 3:20 remaining in the third quarter.  Harrison County regained the lead with 12 seconds remaining in the quarter on a 4 yard TD run by James Custard and a two point extra point conversion pass from Cory Britt to J. D. Ashbrook.  Harrison County held a 28-21 lead entering the final period. 

West Jessamine's Eric Coker scored on a one yard run to pull the Colts within one, 28-28, with 4:50 remaining in the game.  The attempted extra point for the tie was blocked.  The Colts were back in business at the Harrison County 37 yard line after a fumble recovery by Chase Mullins with 1:15 left in the game.  West Jessamine advanced to the 15 yard line and, on a fourth-and-ten play, Josh Edwards 32 yard field goal attempt hit the upright with seven seconds remaining in the game. 

Harrison County held a 291-254 advantage in total offense.  The Thorobreds lost three fumbles, all in the second half.  Harrison County was penalized seven times for 60 yards while West Jessamine was flagged six times for 35 yards.  Devon Wilson led the Harrison County ground attack with 106 yards on 18 carries.  Cory Britt completed three of six passes for 91 yards.  J. D. Ashbrook caught two passes for 64 yards.  Tyler Fryman led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackle, while Allan Fryman added seven solo tackles. 

Jake Carlson led the West Jessamine ground game with 75 yards and a TD on 10 carries.  Eric Coker carried the ball 19 times for 56 yards and three touchdowns.  Coker completed four of 12 passes for 51 yards.  Brett Hampton had two receptions for 26 yards.  Jake Carlson led the defense with 11 solo tackles including two tackles for losses.
