Coach Chris Wolfe's Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers have gotten off to a fast start this season with impressive victories over East Jessamine (47-28) and Louisville Doss (47-14).

Coach David Hensley's Dunbar Bulldogs opened the season with a 57-6 victory over Lone Oak and followed up with a 28-19 victory over Madison Central.  QB Chris Franklin has completed 14 of 27 passes for 359 yards with four TD passes and zero interceptions.  Will Wright led the ground game this season including 193 yards last week against Madison Central.

Paul Dunbar utilized a strong aerial game to overcome their 1.8 yard per carry on 32 rushing attempts to defeat Pleasure Ridge Park 38-28.  Dunbar trailed PRP 328-292 on total offense but held a 234-25 advantage in passing yards.  Dunbar was penalized six times for 63 yards while Pleasure Ridge Park was flagged seven times for 62 yards. 

Will Wright led the Dunbar ground game with 32 yards on 13 carries.  Chris Franklin completed 12 of 17 passes for 234 yards with three touchdowns.  Keith Bailey caught seven passes for 157 yards with TD receptions of 12, 9, and 76 yards.  Ryan Oakley and Jeremy Bruck added two receptions each for 52 and 29 yards respectively.  Marshall Mays returned one kickoff for 89 yards and a TD.  Sean O'Brien punted once for 69 yards.  The Bulldog defense was led by Mike Sweat with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Ryan Oakley added three solo and nine assisted tackles while Zack Warmouth chipped in with three solo and eight assisted tackles.

Sherray Smith led Pleasure Ridge Park's ground game with 120 yards and a TD on 14 carries.  Wesley Brown added 97 yards on 15 carries while Josh McCloud carried the ball for 47 yards and two scores on nine carries.  Timothy Edwards led the Panther defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Marc. White added four solo tackles and Ethan Henry recorded three solo and three assisted tackles including two sacks for losses of 18 yards.
