Tates Creek (5-1) vs. Henry Clay (7-0) October 6, 2006

Tates Creek's ground game has been led this season by Ty Sparks with 1154 yards and 12 touchdowns. 

Henry Clay QB Ryan Phillippi has completed 101 of 144 passes for 1257 yards and 18 touchdowns.  Clark Jeter has 41 receptions for 605 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Henry Clay led 34-0 after three quarters on their way to a 48-20 victory over Tates Creek.  The Blue Devils held Tates Creek star running back Ty Sparks in check with 72 yards on 23 carries including only 19 yards in the first half.  The Blue Devil offense rolled up 658 yards of total offense.  Chase Minnifield got Henry Clay off to a fast start as he returned a punt 60 yards for a TD and kicked the extra point to give the Blue Devils a 7-0 lead with 9:42 remaining in the first quarter.

Henry Clay recorded 27 first downs and 658 yards of total offense including completing 30 of 38 passes for 483 yards.  The Blue Devils lost two fumbles and were penalized 11 times for 94 yards.  Tates Creek had 10 first downs and 227 yards of total offense.  The Commodores had a pass intercepted and were penalized once for five yards. 

Dontey Gay led the Henry Clay ground game with 117 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Ryan Phillippi completed 21 of 27 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns.  Patrick Rouse completed nine of 11 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns.  Clark Jeter caught eight passes for 137 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Minnifield added seven receptions for 127 yards.  Dontey Gay recorded five receptions for 59 yards and two touchdowns.  Grant Devinney led the Blue Devil defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles.  Three of the tackles were for losses totalling five yards.  Stephon Burton added seven solo and one assisted tackles. 

Ty Sparks led the Tates Creek ground attack with 72 yards and a TD on 23 carries.  Truman Duvall carried the ball five times for 68 yards and a TD.  Hayden Cardiff completed three of 11 passes for 84 yards with an intercaption.  Joe Conlon caught two passes for 45 yards.  Derrick Brown led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Alan Meadors added six solo tackles.
