Johnson Central rolled up a whopping 600 yards of offense including 465 yards on the ground in a 48-27 victory over Bryan Station tonight. The Golden Eagles raced out to a 29-0 halftime lead and cruised to a convincing victory.
Johnson Central recorded 20 first downs and 600 yards of total offense. The Golden Eagles were penalized 11 times for 78 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted. Bryan Station had 13 first downs and 339 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized once for five yards and lost two fumbles.
Shawn Grim led Johnson Central's ground game with 227 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. Nathan Dillon added 119 yards and two TDs on 12 carries and Chase Richardson chipped in with 111 yards and a score on 17 carries. J. K. Ratliff completed two of five passes for 83 yards with one interception. Shawn Grim completed his only pass for 52 yards and a TD. Ian Welch caught three passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. Nathaniel Dials led the Golden Eagle defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. Chase Richardson added four solo and three assisted tackles.
Patrick Cornett led Bryan Station's ground attack with 47 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Lance Morton completed eight of 21 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns. Terrell Combs caught three passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. J. Lewis-Barfield added three receptions for 60 yards. Earl McCan led the Defender defense with 11 solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Kris Bolton added seven solo and two assisted tackles.
